You’ve finished that piece of work - got the ideas straight, discussed the secondary material, presented a clear argument. But there’s one more thing: proofreading. Your work needs to look perfect and read perfectly to get the attention it deserves, and this isn’t easy, especially if English is not your first language.
The Gradgrind is here to help you with that.
I am a native English speaker with a PhD in English Literature, as well as being an experienced proofreader - as are my colleagues here at The Gradgrind. We offer a range of services, all focused on polishing up your spelling, grammar and punctuation as well as bringing references, formatting and style to the highest standard.
The following proofreading services are priced at £10 per thousand words, payment by bank transfer:
- Undergraduate and MA dissertations
- PhD theses; whole thesis or individual chapters
- Book proposals
- Funding proposals
- Articles for submission to journals
- Book chapters for submission to edited collections
- Cover letters and research/teaching statements for job applications
We also offer a Conference Paper Consultancy: at a cost of £35 for a 20-minute paper or £55 for a 40-minute paper, we will not only proofread your work but also provide detailed advice on the paper’s style and tone, timing, visual aids (such as PowerPoint or Prezi), handouts and presentation skills. You will be able to stand up and deliver your paper confident that your research is presented in a clear, engaging and professional manner.
Any orders that need to be completed in under 3 days are priced at £15 per thousand words, if we are able to take them on.
Please email me with all enquiries at Linda[at]thegradgrind[dot]com
I will get back to you quickly with answers to your questions or arrangements for your proofreading order. I look forward to hearing from you!
